Jarrett Culver played only two seasons for the Red Raiders and made a big impact on a historic 2019 Texas Tech team where he was the Big 12 Conference Player of the Year and a Consensus All-American. He led Tech to the program’s first Big 12 Conference regular-season championship in the 2019 season and was the first Red Raider to get to 1,000 points in his freshman and sophomore year. Culver’s sophomore year, he led Texas Tech to the program’s first Final Four and National Championship appearance where he was named to the Final Four All-Tournament Team. After his sophomore season, he declared for the NBA Draft and was selected 6th overall by the Phoenix Suns and was immediately traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He averaged 9.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in his rookie season. In 2021, Jarrett Culver was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies.
