Kemba Walker rose to national fame during his junior season at UCONN. By the 12th game of that season, he was college basketball's leading scorer averaging 26.7 points per contest. He led the Huskies the Big East Championship playing key roles in crucial games throughout the tournament. On April 4, 2011, Walker scored 16 points as the Huskies won the Division One National Championship taking home the tournaments Most Valuable Player trophy. Walker was selected 9th overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Charlotte Bobcats.
