Russell Westbrook came into UCLA his freshman year with a very small role with the team, averaging 3.4 points per game. His sophomore year, his role only increased as he started 34 of the 39 games, averaged 12.9 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, and a team-leading 4.3 assists per game. He was the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year and was selected Third Team All-Pac-10 Conference. He helped lead UCLA to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament after the Bruins had won the Pac-10 regular season and conference tournament title. He was drafted 4th overall in the 2008 draft by the Seattle Supersonics who relocated to Oklahoma City six days after he was drafted.
